Medium: Kiln Fire Clay
Art Skills: Sculpting, Glazing
Artspeak: Sculpting, Score, Slip
Snack: Animal Crackers, Capris Sun or Water
Students will explore art stations as they learn about building with clay and glazing. Stations will include letter making with clay, making parts of animal faces, and painting practice. Instructors will guide students through creating their own animal themed ceramic letter. Students will learn about the art concepts of 3-D sculpting, shape, and glazing. *Due to the nature of clay, final projects will be ready for pick-up 3 weeks after camp at SPLAT Hershey.

Art Skills: Papermaking, Cut Paper Illustration

Students will explore art stations as they learn about making paper. Stations will include learning to make paper, tracing, and drawing. Instructors will guide students through creating their own scene of a cat and fish with paper based and drawing materials. Students will learn about the art concepts of paper making and layering.

Art Skills: Tracing, Color Mixing, Paper Tearing
Artspeak: Primary Colors, Secondary Colors, Color Mixing
Snack: Fruit Flavored Snack, Capri Sun or Water
Students will explore art stations as they learn about paper tearing and painting. Stations will include water color painting, tracing and cutting, and paper tearing and layering. Instructors will guide students through creating their own chameleon in an unique environment. Students will learn about the art concepts of layering and color mixing.

Art Skills: Tracing, Painting, Sewing
Artspeak: Mixed Media
Snack: Messy Monkey, Capris Sun or Water
Students will explore art stations as they learn about a simplified sewing technique and painting techniques. Stations will include faux sewing practice, painting, and stringing beads onto a necklace. Instructors will guide students through creating their own monkey face with mixed media. Students will learn about the art concepts of painting and simplified sewing.
