All camps: $90 per participant plus
Art Material Fee.
1st Child - $90, $81 for each additional child registered in the same camp in the same family.

Please dress-for-a-mess and wear closed-toed shoes!

Safety first please - Children should not wear sandals or flip-flops in the studio.

Kids & teens are welcome to bring to camp a water bottle and snack. Please label all items with their name.

BONUS - Participants who are signed up for both the morning and afternoon camp during any week can stay for our Lunch Bunch hour between classes with no extra fee. Lunch Bunch hour can be purchased at $12 per day/per child or $30 for all 3 days if they are only signed up for the morning or afternoon.

Week One

Title: Majestic Mosaic
Dates & Time: June 13, 14, & 15 from 9:30-11:30

Art Skills: Design Layout, Glazing Pottery

In this camp, students will design a radial layout selecting colors and patterns for a self identifying symbol. Instructors will guide students to create a color composition that embraces symbols of inner strength and excellence. The students will learn step-by-step how to layout their mosaic and ceramic designs.

Title: Crazy Creative Collage
Dates & Time: June 13, 14, & 15 from 12:30-2:30

Art Skills: Design Layout

In this camp, students will select an animal image as a focal point for their collage design. They will learn to layer various art materials such as paint, paper, fabric, sequins, and more to illustrate their unique creative flare. Using color and collage embellishments, the students will emphasize their selected animal as the focal point of their artwork.
Week Two

Title: Mini Model
Dates & Times: June 20, 21, & 22 from 9:30-11:30

In this camp, students will learn painting and sculpting skills to make miniature places. I.e. Golf course, playground, skate park Instructors will teach step-by-step how to create the miniature scene.

Title: Touchable Texture

In this camp, students will learn about acrylic painting techniques. Instructors will teach the usage of acrylic paint and introduce students to a variety of gel mediums to add texture.
Week Three

Title: Little Land

In this camp, students will learn how to design, work, and create an imaginative 3 Dimensional “Little Land” (diorama) of their choice. I.e. Fairy Garden, Dinosaurs Instructors will teach students 2 and 3 dimensional skills and guide them as they make their one-of-a-kind work of art.

In this camp, students learn how to sculpt polymer clay into miniatures of their choice. Basic sculpting techniques will be introduced and students will be encouraged to bring to existence clay sculpts that are of interest to them. The finished clay mini sculptures can be used as wearable art or displayed in a diorama.
Week Four

Title: Kallista’s Krazy Kreations

Art Skills: Balloon Bending and Twisting
Art Speak: Sculpture, Twister, Balloon Bender, Twister
In this camp, students will learn how to twist and bend balloons into balloon animals and more. Instructors will teach basic skills of using a balloon pump to create sculptures and how to use their balloon art to decorate for special occasions.

In this camp, students will learn new crafting techniques each day. Instructors will encourage kids to experiment, play, and practice skills with the process being the focus of the experience.
Week Five

Title: Pocket Pals

In this camp, students will learn handbuilding skills to make a ceramic pocket in the likeness of an animal. Instructors will teach step-by-step sculpting and glazing lessons where students will learn about the properties of clay.
*Please note: Due to the nature of ceramic clay, finished projects will be ready for pick up 2 weeks following the end of camp.

In this camp, students will learn to sculpt a fish in a slump mold to form it into a dish. Instructors will teach step-by-step sculpting and glazing lessons where students will learn ceramic techniques.

Title: Busy Bee

In this camp, students will learn crafting techniques that are inspired by bees. Mr. Martin from Martin Bee Farm in Jonestown will visit the studio on July 25 to provide the students with a demonstration on honeybees and honey production. Instructors will guide students to make art using beeswax and the honey bee as a catalyst for their art making.

In this camp, students will learn about modular design and build their own. Drawing inspiration from the hexagon found in the honeycomb, instructors will guide students to select a module shape of their choice to build a final design on canvas.
Week Seven

Title: Life Lens

In this camp, students will learn to draw from a photograph using the grid method. Instructor will teach students how to study line, shape, and value to create an illustration that is in the likeness of the photograph.

In this camp, students will be introduced to ideas on still life, self expression, and abstract. Each day the instructor will present different drawing exercises for students to explore drawing techniques.
Week Eight

Title: Kinetic Konstruction

In this camp, students will explore STEAM (science, technology, engineering, ART, and math) concepts as they build a variety of rockets. Instructors will teach students about the intersection of technology and art by considering how when we create we need to give attention to how it works and how it looks.

In this camp, students will explore how to make artful objects that also move playfully. Instructors will guide students to selecting imagery that is engaging to them while incorporating movement.
Week Nine

Title: Painting Plants
Dates & Time: August 15, 16, & 17 from 9:30-11:30

In this camp, students will select a plant they would like to paint and learn different color theory techniques regarding how-to paint it. Instructors will guide students through color mixing exercises for students to play and observe different results using different color combinations for a desired outcome.

In this camp, students will select garden themed ceramics to design a layout and paint with glaze. Instructors will teach students how to create different patterns, shapes, and colors for their one-of-a-kind designs.
