Dates & Times: September 14, 21 & 28 and October 5 from 4:30-5:45 pm
Ages 6 to 14 • Tuition: $140
In Mind-Craft Mosaic Camp, artists will turn tiny square ceramic tiles into colorful “pixels” to design a mosaic animal of their choice! Inspired by pixel-style creativity, campers will plan their animal design, choose vibrant tile colors, and carefully arrange the tiles to build their image one square at a time. Along the way, they’ll learn the basics of mosaic art, including pattern planning, color placement, and working with simple tools and adhesives. By the end of camp, each artist will have a bold, pixel-inspired mosaic animal masterpiece made from ceramic tiles to proudly display at home.

Title: Tales on Tails: Clay Animals
Dates & Time: October 12, 19, & 26 and November 2 from 4:30-5:45 pm
Ages 6 to 14 • Tuition: $140
In this hands-on clay lesson, students will create imaginative animals and decorate their backs with stories, patterns, or scenes. Using basic hand-building slab techniques like pinching, scoring, using slip, and smoothing, children design creatures that are real, fantastical, or somewhere in between. The backs of the animals become a canvas for storytelling, showing where the animal lives, what it loves, or an adventure it might have. This project encourages creativity, fine motor skills, and narrative thinking, resulting in whimsical sculptures that combine art and imagination in a playful, memorable way.
Please note that the ceramic sculpture will be ready for pick-up in the studio the week of November 23. Refer to our hours of operation for times available to stop in and pick up your child's artwork.

Title: Wire & Whimsy Workshop
Dates & Time: November 9, 16, 23, & 30 from 4:30-5:45 pm
Ages 6 to 14 • Tuition: $140
In Wire & Whimsy Workshop, artists will explore the art of wire sculpture through three engaging two-hour lessons. Campers will learn how to twist, bend, and shape wire to create contour-style sculptures of people, birds, flowers, and other imaginative forms. As they build their designs, they’ll add creative touches with materials like buttons, fabric, ribbon, and other decorative elements to bring personality and movement to their sculptures. Along the way, young artists will discover how line, form, and balance work together in sculpture while developing their fine motor skills and creative confidence. By the end of the sessions, each camper will have unique wire artworks full of character and charm.

It is always a challenging and rewarding experience and one that SPLAT students often remember and talk about for years to come!
Parents whose children are enrolled in SPLAT’s Spring 2026 Learning to Think Like an Artist and Mastering Media classes will need to file an educational release form with their child’s school for an approved educational absence that morning. Additional details will be shared with families who are registered for the classes.
